Meet Becky & Paul and their journey in the hospital and the early years of walking through their new “normal” after the aneurysm. Finding joy in the hard.
When I was first diagnosed with a debilitating chronic illness, I had to ask myself, "Will I only worship the Lord when things are good and pain-free, or will I cling to him even in horrible times?" It takes a monumental shift in perspective that continually needs to be refreshed in my mind.
I read a book about the darkness journey. This is where I learned the treasure verse and the stars being a specific treasure in the literal and spirit.
Oh my goodness... "treasures of darkness" is a new concept I've never heard before. Becky, you bring life to this verse and to a new understanding of God in hard times. Thankful for you!

A friend “gave” me Isaiah 45:3, the Treasures of Darkness verse…
Dawna, i love your interpretation of stars!
YES, coaching ourselves to Choose Gratitude- always,
even in “this”😳
Choosing what to be thankful for or choose joy for you can hardly see your way through is not easy.
There are stars in the darkness that can’t be seen in the light.
I’m thankful for your story to help me remember to choose how I will respond and ask God for help with how I feel.
